Garden Re-Leaf raised a whopping £140,000 for charity this year

It’s been revealed that Garden Re-Leaf raised a whopping £140,000 for charity this year – the most successful yet.

Success for Garden Re-Leaf day

Garden Re-Leaf (www.gardenreleaf.co.uk) is a nationwide fundraising effort by garden centres all over the country, raising money through green-fingered events. This spring – the fifth Garden Re-Leaf Day – saw garden centre staff and customers joining in on dozens of events including 24-hour ‘plant-a- thons’, charity walks, cake baking and dedicated TV shows. Plus of course there were some fantastic deals on gardening plants and products on offer at our garden centre in Stocksfield.

All proceeds go to Greenfingers, a charity which builds gardens for children’s hospices across the UK. So far they’ve built 51 gardens, helping over 3000 children and families.

At a ceremony to present the cheque, Greenfingers trustee and founder of Garden Re-Leaf Day Boyd Douglas-Davies thanked the hundreds of garden centre teams, suppliers and of course individual customers who took part in this year’s event – now the biggest charity fundraiser on the gardening calendar.

Sign up for Next Year's Garden Re-Leaf Day

Next year’s Garden Re-Leaf Day is taking place on Friday 17th March – so make a note in your diary now and keep the day free for some great garden-related fun here at the garden centre. We look forward to seeing you there!
