Alpine and Rock Plants
Alpine and Rock plants can make attractive additions to your garden and are easy to grow and look after due to their resilient nature. Alpine plants often produce elegant, small and compact flowers in many different colours. In Mickley, we stock a wide range of Alpine and rock plants. 9cm Alpine plants are available at £3 each or 4 for £10. 1 Litre alpine plants are available at £5 each or 3 for £12.
Growing Environment
A gravelly or rocky environment mimics their natural terrain on the slopes of mountains, so alpine and rock plants will thrive in rock gardens as well as containers and raised beds. They enjoy dry and sunny conditions so having a covering of gravel or grit can ensure that their leaves do not rest on waterlogged ground. You might consider growing several different types together to combine colours and shapes.
